Bio

      Prof.Xue Wang is council member of China Instrument and Control Society, executive director of  Electromagnetic Measuring and Information Processing Instruments Branch of China Instrument Society and member of Fault Diagnosis council of China Mechanical Engineering Society.  Dr. Wang is committee member of Production Engineering Branch of China Mechanical Engineering Society Technical, member of Electrical Measurement & Instrumentation editorial board, and academic committee member of Department of Precision and Instrument Tsinghua University. He is editorial committee member of SENSORS Journal, editorial committee member of Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering ,editorial committee member of Journal of Electrical Measurement & Instrumentation  and  editorial committee member of China Instrumentation.
    Prof.Xue Wang is vice director (Tsinghua University) of  State Key Laboratory of Precision Measurement Technology and Instruments.
    Prof.Xue Wang is Senior member of China Computer Federation, Senior Member of China Mechanical Engineering Society, IEEE Member, IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society Member, IEEE Computer Society Member, IEEE Computational Intelligence Society Member, IEEE Communications Society Member, senior member of China Instrument and Control Society.
    Prof. Xue Wang received the M.S. degree in measurement and instrument from Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin, China, in 1991, the Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China, in 1994. Prof. Wang  was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China, in electrical power system from 1994 to 1996. Dr. Wang then joined the Department of Precision Instruments at Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, where he served as a Professor until now. Dr. Wang is now the Director of Institute of Instrument Science and Technology at Tsinghua University. From May 2001 to July 2002, Dr. Wang was a visiting professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department, Wisconsin University.

• Wireless Sensor Networks Measurement System (WSNs) are of major interest all over the world recently, and become an emerging hot focus of research with multi-discipline coordinated. WSNs integrate sensor technology, embedded computing technology, automatic control technology, wireless communication technology,  and distributed information processing technology, reputed one of the ten great science and technology being able to change the future world.

• Multi-Sensor Data Fusion (MSDF) is a critical technology of WSNs.  Adopting modern mathematics methods and computing technology, information gathered by multi-sensor is fully utilized to obtain the identical  explanation and description of tested object, thereby related decision and evaluation is derived.

• Intelligent Maintenance System (IMS), or called e-Maintenance, is a novel maintenance system, which applies performance degradation analysis and prediction methods to provide near-zero-breakdown performance for products or devices, combined with infotronics technology.

• Virtual Instrument (VI) is a computer instrument system, of which the function is designed by users. Based on the hardware platform with the kernel of  computer, it has virtual panels and implement measurement by software. The emergence of remote virtual sensing (RVS)  expands the application scope of sensor networks and conserve the cost of measurement.

• Computing Intelligent and its Application (CIA) are novel target-oriented theories for the establishment of intelligent system. These theories have excellent capability of reason and learn in uncertain and imprecise environment by simulating thinking characteristics of human brain, and become focusing areas of current information technology. There are wide applications prospects in various fields, such as automation, computer application, electronic engineering, , testing and control instruments, image processing and pattern recognition, intelligent control and information processing, and artificial intelligence.

       Prof.Wang has won altogether 4 awards, including the Third-class National Scientific and Technical Advance Awards, the First-class Scientific and Technical Advance Awards of the Education Ministry, and First-class Scientific and Technical Advance Award of the Ministry of Mechanical Industry.
